At Mount Zion UMC, we believe rooting our activities in our community makes our ministry more effective and our church more doable. We encourage you to come and watch our various ministries in action. We have no doubt you will find a few that call to you to participate.
We have missions that are focused on preparing the saints for the work of the lord and benefit our community and beyond.
Children & Youth
At Mount Zion, we are passionate about helping children and youth develop their faith, make friends and have fun!

Children’s Ministry
During regular weekly services, children of all ages are invited to engage in a children’s moment. Following the children’s moment, children leave the sanctuary to attend children’s church, which offers opportunities for the kids to grow in their knowledge of the Bible through stories, crafts, games and snacks!

The mission of children and youth ministry at Mount Zion UMC is to make disciples for the transformation of the world.

Vision
To provide Christ-like role models that are committed to sharing the Gospel of Christ with children and youth.
To encourage children and youth to develop strong friendships with each other.
To engage children and youth in a variety of opportunities that helps them develop their faith in God.

Cherub Choir
Children in pre-K to 6th grade are invited to sing with our Cherub Choir! Cherubs rehearse Sundays following the 10:15 service in the Social Hall and typically perform four times per year during the 10:15 service.

Youth Ministry
Anchored Youth meets Sunday nights from 6:30-8 p.m. in the newly renovated youth room on the lower level of the church. We have worked through some lessons around the foundations of the Bible and how the Bible came to be.
